The application process is designed to ensure a good fit between your child and our community. We invite parents to attend our open house in February, or arrange a visit before applying. An on-site visit, followed by a brief interview, is an important part of the application process.
Applications are accepted on a rolling-admission basis. After initial enrollment for the fall, interviews are scheduled according to availability. If a space is available, parents are notified. If not, students will be placed on the waiting list and notified immediately if a space does becomes available.
ROOTS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, or sexual orientation in hiring practices, administration of its educational policies, admissions practices, and scholarship and other school administered-programs. Further, Real Ongoing Opportunities to Soar, Inc. admits students of any race, color, national origin, ethnicity to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities, generally accorded or made available to all students.
ROOTS is a non-profit, tax exempt, homeschooling cooperative. The Board of Directors have approved plans to transition from a homeschooling cooperative to a licensed independent private school. Until such time, all students who participate at ROOTS must file with the Department of Education an “Exception to Compulsory Education” form with the state Department of Education as a home school student. Such registration is solely the responsibility of the parent(s) or legal guardian of the child participating at ROOTS.
